Italian soundtrack masterpiece originally released on the highly sought-after promotional label "PEGASO" Edizioni Musicali in 1972. Music by Maestro Carlo Pes, the "C" guitarist from the infamous quartet I MARC 4 which also probably plays on this session featuring Enzo Restuccia at the drums. The amazing Jazz-Funk score "Tough Guy" is the main theme of this mind-blowing OST and it's delivered in 3 different versions with a huge orchestra accompaniment, mental pressed piano sets, percussions and drums driving rhythmes and intense woodwinds ensemble. You can enjoy the crazy tunes like the dramatic cinematic theme"Morte di un Hippie", the great Lounge of "Relaxing in New Mexico" with Hammond organ improvisations, guitar and flute, and the superb filmic theme "Murder On The Set". More refined tunes Bossa-Jazz on "Joinin' the Swimming Pool" with some nice piano among the others. Top record, not to be missed!

Outstanding work, and I have no idea how it remained unknown to me for so long. There’s so much attention paid to timbre and arrangement, where every sound is exactly what’s called for at the right time and place in the stereo field. It almost sounds electronic, like the best album never made with bunch of Serge panels. RIYL everything from old Cold Meat Industry to Maurizio Bianchi to La Monte Young to Morricone soundtracks.
